16/07/2012-22/7/2012 - Holiday time!

Hi, this isn’t really a post related to politics but this is about things to do during the holidays, free things mainly because I don’t have all that much money. I spent a fiver yesterday doing crazy golf and having an ice cream down the seafront. The park is also an option. Why don’t people do more free stuff, it’s better than paid stuff sometimes. The point is I have 6 weeks to do whatever I please and I’m going to enjoy it, I hope you do too. Before you think, I will be doing politics work at some point.

09/07/2012-15/07/2012 - Curriculum

Hi all, sorry for the wait, as you may know, I’ve finished my exams and waiting for the holidays to arrive. I have been at school for 13 years and find it strange how the curriculum is so narrow. I found it amazing how some of the kids below me didn’t know about things such as pivotal points in history just because it is not on the specification, the government tries to address this by having a ‘general studies A Level’ and composary ‘Citizenship’ lessons. I think the curriculums for certain subjects should be looked over, what do you think?

02/07/2012 - 08/07/2012: Reflections.

I’ve been reflecting the past year at school and I’ve changed quite a bit. One thing I’ve noticed is being the older one in the class people look up to me as a natural leader. Throughout the year I have lead loads of projects and broken out of my shy little shell into a ‘in your face’, confrontational little madam in all respects. My teacher warned the boys in my tutor ‘if I know my Hannah, I know she’s fearless’ when they challenged me to a little competition. And before you even think, I won, what else would you expect?

This week’s post is about people and modern society. I am a 21^st Century independent woman, I do what I like when I like and no one can tell me different. Within this people can do what they like and I don’t care but rudeness in my book is not acceptable. One mega social problem I think is the influence of celebrity culture that includes no manners and conflicts being a fashionable thing. If we are to have a generation of citizens that governments wish to have the influence of celebrities need to change. That’s my opinion anyway. What’s yours?
