This week’s post is about people and modern society. I am a 21st Century independent woman, I do what I like when I like and no one can tell me different. Within this people can do what they like and I don’t care but rudeness in my book is not acceptable. One mega social problem I think is the influence of celebrity culture that includes no manners and conflicts being a fashionable thing. If we are to have a generation of citizens that governments wish to have the influence of celebrities need to change. That’s my opinion anyway. What’s yours?
‘You need to have a sit down with your ego...’
I think that sometimes individuals turn to celebrities for role models because there may be a lack of them at home e.g parents or siblings, or at school e.g. peers and teachers - I probably think that this is the area that needs changing.
ReplyDeleteI do see the point you're trying to make here - those who are famous should make a more conscious effort to be a good role model. However, celebrities themselves are people in their own right, and they're entitled to their feelings just as much as we are - the major problem is our obsession with celebrities and feeling of the need to constantly stalk every move they make.
